15 Quotes to Celebrate Life

In the midst of tragic events  and difficult life circumstances, I find I need to focus on celebrating life, in all its blessings and goodness. These types of events, for me, are a reminder that life is precious and fleeting; to be enjoyed and lived fully; to be appreciated and valued.

The best way to pay for a lovely moment is to enjoy it.” Quote by Richard Bach

15 Quotes to Celebrate Life

Here are a few quotes about Life to inspire and encourage you.

  1. “I say all the time that every moment we have to live our life is a blessing. So often I have found myself taking it for granted. Every hug from a family member. Every laugh we share with friends. Even the times of solitude are all blessings. Every second of every day is a gift. After Saturday evening, I know I truly understand how blessed I am for each second I am given.”  ~ Jessica Redfield (Gwahi), a victim of the Aurora shootings on her last blog post before the incident describing a close call she had with death weeks before Aurora.

One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return.” ~ Mary Jean Iron

I am a board member of our local men’s prostate cancer group, Us Too. Most
of us live in Las Cruces, NM. Us Too is a national organization to help men
with this problem. We have monthly meetings and anybody can come. We have
speakers on different subjects and men who have been diagnosed with
prostate cancer can talk with other men on how the have elected to tackle
    their problem.

We are planning a bus trip for our guys in early October ’13 to northern
New Mexico. We will go by bus for four days to visit some American indian
pueblos, stop in Albuquerque for a short visit to their international
balloon fiesta and take a train ride on the Cumbres & Toltec railroad to
see the fall colors, plus some other things. The guys can invite anyone
they wish to come along and we will contact other cancer related groups in
our area to go with us also. We hope take 50 people.

In discussing this with another cancer survivor, we thought it might be a
good idea to have a theme for our trip and we picked the subject
“Celbrating Life”. This put me in an internet search mode to see what I
could find and I came across your web site and that led me to send this
e-mail to you to see if we could use some things on your web site such as
your 15 Quotes to Celebrate life.

We think that you have some good quotes there and we would like to add them
to a trip information binder which each single person or couple will get.
It tell them about the trip and also provide them with a trip momento where
they can also add trip pictures, etc.

So, if you can help us in this regard it will be gretly appreciated.

We think that we have a lot to be thankful for. (My English teachers would
kringe at my disregard of the rules they tried to teach me).

    Thank you.

What a great trip and a great celebration! Yes, absolutely you can use these quotes. I’m glad that I can help encourage and inspire others. I will email the post to you in it’s entirely so you can cut & paste it as needed.

I went on a trip to Albuquerque & Santa Fe New Mexico years ago and visited the Acoma pueblo that is built on the top of a mesa. It was absolutely beautiful. If your group can manage it, try to visit them. Their official website is http://puebloofacoma.org/ but the pictures do not do justice to it. It’s worth the trip! It’s a perspective changer.

Keep me posted on how the trip goes!
